It’s racist. It’s totally racist...everyone is just so shocked that I don’t like R&B. Why does R&B keep coming into my interviews? It’s pissing me off. I didn’t grow up as a big fan of R&B and, like, what is the big shocker? It’s stupid.

Wikipedia In Your Pocket!

Some modder hacked an old, obscure PDA and jammed the entirety of Wikipedia in it. Now you can simultaneously impress and slightly weird out your friends with your immense knowledge. The “Don’t Panic” screen on the front completes the nerdy package. Sure, you could have your fancy wifi-enabled phone do pretty much the same thing, but that’s A) taking the easy way out and B) not nearly this cool.

Though I guess when it comes to Wikipedia in your pocket, nothing really beats this guy.

Truth in Website Logos

Sometimes I wish that logos, in addition to showing you a company’s name, also gave you an idea as to what kind of service they provided. In an age where new websites are launching at an enormous rate, why can’t they just tell us what they do rather than actually make us look at the site?

Thankfully, College Humor is here to help us out with their list of more accurate website logos.

In the same spirit, I’ve made a more accurate version of our logo that I think represents us better than our current one.

UGH! MTV’s The Real World Is Coming To Brooklyn!

05.13.2008

I just read on Gawker (and then verified my findings on Gothamist) that MTV’s The Real World will most definitely be coming to Brooklyn this summer to film the 21st season of the show (and the 3rd in NYC).

“The Brooklyn season, like the Hollywood season, will focus on what people loved about ‘The Real World’ when it launched in 1992 – genuine people, meaningful conflict and powerful stories,” said co-creator Jon Murray.

Oh please. What Jon really means is that you can expect yet another booze filled, drug addled, sex having, bitch fighting, self hating, guilty pleasure season of reality trash TV! Yesssss!

Oh, and MTV hasn’t said what neighborhood they’ll be ruining yet, so just sit tight for that announcement!

I’m holding out hope that though the Real Worlders may be living in BK (and hopefully not in my neighborhood!), they’ll be playing in Manhattan (fingers crossed).

Human Tetris!

Leave it to the Japanese to come up with yet another crazy idea for a TV show.

This show is called Tunnels no Minasan no Okage Deshita and it involves contestants squeezing themselves through holes in an oncoming wall before being pushed into a body of water. It’s like a real life game of tetris!

How I’ve never heard of this show before today is beyond me.

Funsize Friday 5/9

05.9.2008

Another Friday, another list of junk I’m too lazy to actually write about. This week’s list: Single Serving Sites. Websites that do one thing, and do it very well. Here’s a few of my personal favorites.

- Things I Did Last Night – Sent my way by Yewknee. I hope that’s not what he was doing last night.

- Is Lost a Repeat? – Made me realized I haven’t been keeping up with my only current TV obsession. Kate has a different one.

- Am I Awesome? – This site says true things.

- Google It – For when someone asks an easily answerable question.

- OM NOM NOM NOM – Gives me giggles. Keep refreshing the page.

- Hillary Clinton is Your New HD-DVD Player – A close cousin to Barack Obama is Your New Bicycle.

FUNSIZE BONUS: Manbabies – because it’s subtly terrifying.
