It’s Mid-December Already?

If you’re feeling a bit behind on all of your Festivus shopping this year (and happen to be located in Dumbo, like us), you might want to check out the Dumbo NYC blog’s list of all of the specials and sales currently running in the neighborhood.

I kind of want to head over to Halcyon and shout, “Economic Crisis… Fuggetaboutit,” not because it’s a cool record shop or that saying that’ll give me 10% off… I just want to do it.

UGH! MTV’s The Real World Is Coming To Brooklyn!

I just read on Gawker (and then verified my findings on Gothamist) that MTV’s The Real World will most definitely be coming to Brooklyn this summer to film the 21st season of the show (and the 3rd in NYC).

“The Brooklyn season, like the Hollywood season, will focus on what people loved about ‘The Real World’ when it launched in 1992 – genuine people, meaningful conflict and powerful stories,” said co-creator Jon Murray.

Oh please. What Jon really means is that you can expect yet another booze filled, drug addled, sex having, bitch fighting, self hating, guilty pleasure season of reality trash TV! Yesssss!

Oh, and MTV hasn’t said what neighborhood they’ll be ruining yet, so just sit tight for that announcement!

I’m holding out hope that though the Real Worlders may be living in BK (and hopefully not in my neighborhood!), they’ll be playing in Manhattan (fingers crossed).
